And yet, we ski on. (Photo credit to Brooks Layman). (Finding the photos, not taking them (I think)).

Solid Find From Professor Blackie
Good ol' Professor Blackie showed me this video.. the soundtrack is just a phenomenal choice. There are some really unexpectedly gnarly crashes.

Didier Cuche: Boss Status
After who knows how many years on the World Cup, Didier Cuche retired in fashion earlier today, skiing down the course in the same equipment he wore his very first run on the World Cup. One of my favorite Didier quotes of all time came when a reporter asked him when he did his ski flip at the finish. He said: "When I have a good run... which is sometimes. Or when the people want it. WHICH IS ALWAYS!" Congratulations on a great career, Mr. Cuche.

Dual Slalom (Oh, GOOOOOOOOD)
Little GMVS kids, stop friending me
As all good things must change and evolve, so have my two famous (in some circles) facebook albums, How To Ski Slalom (AKA Fast and the Furious, Tokyo Drift), and Slalom Aces - 2 DNFast, 2 DNFurious. I have grown tired of getting friend requests from GMVS kids in the class of 2015, and my Mom wants to see the pictures without having to get a facebook account. So, thus begins the How To Ski Slalom Like An Ace blog. JerryOfTheDay, I hope I'm not stealing too much of your thunder. I feel like I can have the bad ski racing pics, and you can have the pics of everything else that happens on the hill. There's room for the two of us in the ski racing community. So without further ado, here are the first few pictures of... HTSSLAA, the blog.
May there be many posts to follow.
