Here are a bunch of videos from the last few months. These are videos that are too short/too grainy/not great enough to merit their own blog so I'm doing a quick little round up. But ya know what? I didn't fight my way to the top of the food chain to be a vegetarian. Whatever that means.
From Jakob over in Europe:
What I like about this video is not the actual crash itself, but the three rotations that the European Starfish does after hitting the snow while glancing at the B-Net occasionally. If the video hadn't cut off I imagine he would have gone for at least three more. Also, obligatory #skiingineuropelooksfun #globalwarmingtour. On to the next one:
Great video, but just a little too short for full analysis. That coach though... turn the audio up and turn down for nothing. I personally haven't made that noise since watching the replay of Gronk's knee turning into mashed potatoes. Thanks to Kara for the video!
Americans crashing at Wengen. Move along folks, move along.
Roman Baumann crashes in a race he was doing well in because his ski fell off when it shouldn't. HA HA.
Ooooh boy. Things go from good to okay to bad to worse to much much worse in the span of a few seconds. Thanks to Fabio for the crash, not sure if this was him or not. I imagine not, because it doesn't look like this guy should still be alive. Mommas, don't let your sons grow up to be downhill racers.
From Mathias we have a mediocre crash with a phenomenal ski fling element. This reminds me of Didier Cuche in 2008! Look at that action! It's up in the air like George Clooney! As they say in Bull Durham, anything in the air for that long should have a flight attendant! Mathias wanted me to shout out his instagram account so follow him at @mathiaswennberg.
Thus concludes part one of the round up. I'll try to get to part two tomorrow, and probably do an images one and maybe some more investigative reporting in the future. My blog game is strong. Send me more stuff! Theamericanmob@gmail.com. Slalom Ace out.
